The things around me gleam and shine
slide, ice over and shine again.
The things around me crumble to the floor
require sweeping,
a Swiffer,
and more things to throw at the ground.
The things around me are breaking, bending
scraping the side of my building.
The people around me make small talk
at the photocopier
ink on their hands
my face.
We talk of nicesities, detentions, mickey mouse bull shit
white versus egg shell
and how blessed they really are.
The things around me try to convince me they are beautiful
genuine and loved.
The things around me break
and I glue them back together again.

i havent done dishes in over 2 weeks, im completely lost without you. <3

Those dirty dishes are going to get you sick with mold and whatever else decides to grow on those dishes. I know I'm a bit obsessed with a clean house. But you know my home is my cocoon from the world and I need a soft spot to land. Do your dishes David, think of me while you scrub. Hey do you remember when I went through the drunked knitting phase? I hope it gets cold there at least once so you can wear the scarf I made you.

I got to teach a grade 3 class how to make puppets today. It was so interesting to see kids at work. We are all born artists and then just get lost on our way. Tomarrow I'm teaching Social Studies which is a tad out of my league. Wish me luck.

its been a long time, i needed to drop you a line and have this rhyme. im in mission right now, and im about to sit down and write a big boring essay...so i figured id do fun-dope-super-wicked things before hand...and leaving you a message fell into that list. im doing great, i love living on the coast and i like the way the air smells and how close i am to the ocean. my campus is full of stairs, i hate walking up them. i wish i was taking a course on how to build cybernetic limbs to walk up the stairs for me, but graphics is just as good. i need to show you some of my projects, but i havent really done much other than writing essays and drawing still lifes of fruit. as soon as something cool shows up ill be sure to show you that. i hope you guys are going to have a wonderful feast this weekend, i like fud. also, dont forget to 'alot' some time for a beer or two for me when school gets to be too much. keep yo head up and keep up the good work! miss you tons babe, ill type to you soon!
